Q: How do I register my account to get started?
A: It’s easy! With your phone, just scan the “Quick Start” QR code sticker that comes with your sticker pack, or visit smartshare.herffjones.com
Q: How do I upload a video?
A: It’s easy. You can follow the instructions on the screen, or the steps below:
- Select the code from the "My QR Codes" page on the SmartShare website.
- Once selected or scanned, choose or create the video to attach.
Q: How long the video be?
A: The limit on video size is 250 mb. If you’re shooting a High-def video in 1920 x 1080 (which is fairly standard) that means the video can be about 30 seconds.
Q: What file format can the video be?
A: SmartShare works with any video you shoot on your iPhone or Android phone.
Q: Can I attach one video to multiple QR codes?
A: Yes. If you want to send the same message to multiple people, go ahead and do so. You can send the same video to as many QR codes as you like.
Q: Can I attach more than one video to a QR code?
A: That’s a no. If you want to send more than one video to someone you will have to use another one of your QR code stickers.
Q: How do I purchase more QR code stickers?
A: That’s easy. Just click on the “buy more codes” link in the navigation, or just contact your local Herff Jones Sales Representative. If you’re unsure of who yours is, you can find that out here.
Q: How long will someone be able to access the video once I send it?
A: Any unused QR codes will expire one year after their purchase. Any uploaded videos they will be available for two years. That’s based on the day they were uploaded.
Q: What if the person I send my video to can’t view the video?
A: First thing you should do is contact the Sales Partner you purchased your QR code stickers from. If you did not purchase your stickers from a Sales Partner, then contact us here.
Q: How do I know if my phone can scan QR codes?
A: Most new phones within the last couple years have the built-in ability to automatically scan QR codes when you point your camera at the QR code. Make sure that your software is up-to-date. If that doesn’t work you can download a QR code app from any Android or iOS app store.
